Justin was unfortunately born and raised in New York City. After dropping out of high school, he attended Hunter College at the City University of New York. During his time at Hunter, Justin conducted research in synthetic peptide chemistry and recombinant proteins for peptide therapeutics with Dr. Mandë Holford. Starting in Song Lin’s group as a graduate student at Cornell University, Justin hopes to pursue a completely new field, synthesizing interesting molecules by dropping Duracells(R) into round bottom flasks, while looking forward to never working with E. coli again. When not in the lab, you can find Justin aimlessly driving around Tompkins county or cooking at Shelby’s house.
