Pierre-Louis Lagueux-Tremblay

Ph.D. McGill University
Advisor: Bruce A. Arndtsen

Pierre-Louis was born in Québec City, Canada. He completed his B.Sc. in chemistry at Université Laval in 2016. During his undergraduate studies, he joined Prof. Thierry Ollevier and Prof. Freddy Kleitz groups to work on new green synthetic methodologies in organic chemistry. His interest for organometallic chemistry made him join Prof. Bruce A. Arndtsen at McGill University, where he worked on new approaches to acylation reactions via metal-catalyzed carbonylations and electrochemistry. He graduated from his Ph.D. in August 2022, and joined Prof. Song Lin group at Cornell University as a postdoctoral researcher to pursue on the development of new electrochemistry-enabled approaches in organic synthesis. Outside chemistry, Pierre-Louis spends most of his time enjoying various physical activities, cooking, and discovering new local breweries.
