Wen Zhang

Ph.D. Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Advisor: Guosheng Liu

Wen was born and raised in Quanjiao, a small county in Anhui Province, China. He obtained his B.S. degree in chemistry from Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Xiangge Zhou and Prof. Jingsong You in 2013. Then he moved to Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) in pursuit of his PhD degree in organic chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Guosheng Liu. His PhD research was mainly focused on enantioselective functionalization of C-H bonds via copper catalyzed radical relay process. In Dec 2018, he started his postdoctoral research in Song’s lab at Cornell University where he has focused on the development of novel methodology for the synthesis of bioactive molecules.
