WIRELESS ELECTROCHEMISTRY

SPECS

SPECS stands for Small Photoelectronic ElectroChemical Synthesizers. They are light-harvesting microelectronic devices—produced using standard nanofabrication techniques—that enable wireless electrosynthesis down to the microliter scale. SPECS have been validated across a range of electrosynthetic reactions and have demonstrated utility in reaction discovery, optimization, and library synthesis. SPECS are now commercially available from OWiC Technologies and Analytical Sales and Services.

TRY SPECS

SPECS

SPECS simplify the setup of electrochemical reactions, providing a user-friendly platform that not only enhances the experience for current practitioners but also lowers the barrier for nonspecialists to engage in electrosynthesis.

Features
Features
  • Wireless electrosynthesis powered by light using standard photochemical setups.

  • No need for special devices: compatible with commercial 24-, 96-, and 384-well plates as well as standard dram vials.

  • Providing up to 0.2 mA of current per device or 8 V of open-circuit voltage.

  • Promoting reactions down to µmol scale with as little as 25 µL reaction volume.
