Blake is a Junior food science major from Nashville, Tennessee. He became interested in organic chemistry after spending most of his time Sophomore year learning from Dr. Lin during his office hours. After spending that summer working for a chemical company that was attempting to synthesize a new molecule for hair care, he was enthusiastic about joining Dr. Lin’s research lab to deepen his knowledge of organic chemistry. Beyond school, Blake enjoys baking, playing rugby, and woodworking.
