Nicholas Cemalovic

B.S. University of Michigan
Advisor: Alison Narayan

Nick grew up in Michigan and earned his B.S. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Starting his training as a computational toxicologist, a summer internship in New Jersey at Merck exposed him to wonders of kilogram-scale chemistry. Back at Michigan, he joined Professor Alison Narayan’s group, working on late-stage aliphatic C–H oxidation reactions and HTE development. Nick returned to Merck for another internship in Boston where he was quickly promoted to Executive Director of their BSG (Breaking Specialized Glassware) Division. He came to tropical Ithaca in search of the chiral electron. Outside of the lab, Nick enjoys classical music, eating spicy food, and playing in the dirt.
