Zhiqiang Wei

Zhiqiang was born and raised in Huaiyuan, a small county in Anhui Province, China. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in 2016. Then he moved to Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences in pursuit of his Ph.D. degree in organofluorine chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jinbo Hu. His Ph.D. research was mainly focused on cross-coupling reaction involving fluoroalkyl sulfones. After he got his Ph.D. degree in June 2021, he continued the postdoctoral research in the same group, which was focused on the synthesis and application of perfluoro-tert-butylated compounds. In Oct 2023, he joined the Lin group at Cornell University as a postdoctoral associate.
